Malta has made considerable efforts in the field of aviation in recent years. Malta’s aviation laws were revamped and modernized by the Aircraft Registration Act, 2010 (Chapter 503 of the Laws of Malta) and Malta’s accession to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment, 2001 (the Cape Town Convention) and its Aviation Protocol in 2011 contributed to no small extent to put Malta firmly on the aviation map.

The EU Succession Regulation is Now Applicable

The EU Succession Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 650/2012 on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession and on the creation of a European Certificate of Succession) of 4th July 2012 is now applicable as from 16th August 2015.
