Dr Max Ganado, Dr Caroline Risiott and Dr Louis Cassar Pullicino delivered lectures during the ELSA Malta Maritime Summer Law School, a week-long social and academic programme organised by ELSA Malta. Around fifty law students from all over Europe participated in this event.
Dr Ganado’s lecture focused on the development of Maritime Law during the last three decades with particular emphasis on the carriage of goods. During the lecture, Dr Ganado also covered certain aspects of ship registration, the development of the shipping industry, and the importance of the Maltese Flag.
Dr Caroline Risiott focused her lecture on Ship Finance methodologies under Maltese Law.
Dr Louis Cassar Pullicino delivered a lecture in relation to the Jurisdiction of the Maltese Courts in an Action in Rem and Bankruptcy of Ship Owners, and its implications in Ship Arrest.
