Malta’s aviation laws were revamped and modernized by the Aircraft Registration Act, 2010 (Chapter 503 of the Laws of Malta) and Malta’s accession to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment, 2001 (the Cape Town Convention) and its Aviation Protocol in 2011 contributed to no small extent to put Malta firmly on the aviation map.
